Margaret at School

Created by Geoff 10 years ago
My many memories of Margaret are of our school days, I am 3 days older than Margaret and I remember one birthday when I was 11 or 12, I got a very pretty round box from Margaret, it was actually a "Dairy Lee" cheese triangles box, she had decorated it with a paper doyle and other bits and pieces so even then she was creative. Sometimes I used to go to her house on the lunch break from catchgate school for fish and chips. Then there was a day trip to South Sheilds, great fun, even now I'm transported back to the waltzer and the son "Tossing and Turning" by the Ivy League blasting away. I also remember the excitement of us going to the City Hall in Newcastle with her elder sister Joyce to see Dusty Springfield, The Searchers and Bobby Vee. Memories to treasure. Margaret will be greatly missed. Love Pat Mohan (Welsh)
